F1 with auto box for disabled driver.
I have 3 questions, please feel free to answer.
1. how does some one in a wheelchair get in to the central driving seat?
2. given the straight line speed, cornering abilities and stopping power of the f1, can a chair be tied down in the cabin securely so as not to move about when sobjected to the above?
3. I have not come across the f1 in my mothers mobility car list, what would be the inithal deposit as my mother would like to trade up to a used f1 when her existing contract runs out on her citroen c3 auto.
I don't think that Mclaren has much tolerance for drivers with disabilities. The reason that it is not in your book is because only 100 were ever made, and they cost US$1,000,000!!!
What chassis number is the mclaren you own/owned? I know much about McLarens and their chassis numbers and would be interested in knowing which one your is. Thank you.

Lets all be serious for 1 second. Everyone who knows cars knows mclaren can make v good auto boxes aka the sl55. brabus can fine tune this for even more of your money still using the auto box. 600bhp from an auto is easy. unofrtunately, mclaren did not ever do an 'auto version'
I believe that there was a short phase of about free months in which another company who I can't name helped out Mclaren. I read it up in a car magazine. This company apparently fitted auto boxes to the car, but there were only about 3 made. I find it very unlikely that this person has one of those three cars. But its not impossible.
Now, don't get me wrong, but I do know that the Ferrari 456 GTA has a 4 speed automatic gearbox in it and it also has over 436 horsepower.

..and? no one said that auto boxes and sportscars don't mix. It's a *completely* different thing to convert to auto a precision tool like the McLaren with its one-of-a-kind engineering solutions (engine, chassis everything).
Greetings all.
You don't have to be in a wheelchair to be disabled.
Sorry, nothing to add about the truthfulness or not of this threads kickoff point.
Having said that, anybody considered the possibility that he meant automatic-something-else and just didn't type it all in?
Daddy Dread.
No. I'm going to play Polo with Ma and Pa on my new turbocharged pony. Anyone care to join?
P.S. It'll be on 18th September, 400 B.C. on Neptune. Bring a jumper, might be a bit chilly.

Umm, you may not be able to, I've already got the pitch booked, you will have to move over to Pluto mate, oh by the way, I don't think the original poster realized just how immature his story of ownership would sound to genuine car enthusiasts, I work in the mclaren automotive factory in cosham, Portsmouth and therefore can shed some more light, the power output figure quoted is more than likely incorrect, that was the stated bhp given in the press release and the power output in car provided by mclaren for test and press reviews, however each potential customer was invited to mclaren HQ and the factory used to produce the machine, and given an individual dyno run and given a printout with the owners manuals and documents, the average was apparently as far as I know somewhere like 629 with outputs ranging from 624 up-to 633bhp, this apprently was due to different petrols used to fuel the F1, (as the cars were available over a period of time, the preffered fuel used by mclaren to provide with the car changed) and in the extreme upper due to a request of higher oxygenated fuel requested by the owner. Very few actually came with the press stated 627bhp, and I would therefore suggest that the poster read this straight from a magazine publication statistics, and if in fact he/she is an owner, (slight coughing here) he would know exactly the figure for his car and only one of these 1993 released models was a customer car, one was used by mclaren for the eventual release and another for the head of mclaren.
Why would a person want an automatic supercar. automatics are for lazy people and people with a disability (please no-one take offence, only my opinion, you could say that I am a total **** or whatever. I believe a true super car should be a 6 speed manual. I bet there is a list of people somewhere on the interenet, who own a mclaren. so we can find out all the true owners.
McLaren never made an automatic, Gordon Murray hated auto transmissions, they never came with anything else besides a 6-speed gearbox, ever. No paddle shifts or anything.
Next car please?
