I am looking for Commer PB panels as I can't find any anywhere. I am currently restoring a Commer PA and would benefit from panels, especially doors and sills.
Thanks,

G'day. I just bought a commer van 2500. It has a pop-top and I plan on restoring it. I paid $50 for it and all that needs done is a few rust spots and a respray. I have a manual, but I don't know if it is for my van, as I don't even know what year mine is. As I said it is a pop-top, but I think it is an after market one because there is no equipment inside to make it a camper. Any information regarding engine + brake specifications would be appreciated.

HI! Commer Lovers,
I'm after some help, but firstly I am somewhat disappointed that there is not much information re: Commers, that is either here in Australia or on the Web, seems that maybe the bigger Vans & trucks are not so loved.
I have a 196? Commer Walk Through Chassis No. KAL 4023 001034, has a 6 Cylinder Humber Snipe Engine.
What can you tell me about this Van, is it a 2 ton or 3 ton? any information appreciated.

Hello. I am looking to buy a Commer Walk-Through type van - does anyone out there know of one for sale? I'm planning on converting it to a camper if and when I get one. I'll consider anything, but a runner would be preferable. Is there an owner's club for these vehicles?

Hi from Paul in Adelaide, Australia. Some years ago I bought a Commer Campervan that had been privately imported from the UK. I bought it from a man whose Dad bought it in England and, according to his son, loved it so much he bought it back to Australia. The van sat in the shed for many years after the original owner died and I bought it in 1996. I think it's a 1969-1970 model. It had only done 44,000 miles on it 1725cc engine. It starts first time every time. The solid folding pop-up roof is ingenious.
There is a little wear in the king pins, which I have not been able to source in Australia. Any ideas? - I will also need the stub axle bushes. I would love to replace the 4 speed box with a five speed - you don't get anywhere fast in Australia at 40mph. Someone was after a workshop manual. I have an original.
Paul,
Adelaide, May 2003.

Hi I have just found this website and it seems that there are many more people with commers than I first thought, My wife and I have just purchased a 1974 Commer PB auto sleeper it sailed thro' the MOT with only a minor bit of welding and a couple of brake cylinder seals that needed replacing, so now we are all set for the summer it has sprung the mother of all oil leaks!!! from the front crank seal I am assuming this is an engine out jobbie, but to do this it looks like a removal of the front sub frame/steering/suspension etc, has anyone else had this problem and how did they fix it. please help as summer is now fast approaching. thanks. phil.prior@ntlworld.com.
Hi, my name is Trev and I have a Commer 2500 series for sale. I bought it to do up as a project, but have since moved on to other projects. I live in Adelaide, S.A.
It is a pop-top camper, but the canvas needs replacing. There is also quite a lot of surface rust, but most of it is cosmetic and can be repaired quite easily. The engine runs like a dream, but I have never had it on the road. It also needs tyres and a new brake fluid reservoir, but the brake shoes have plenty of meat left on them.
The interior is very good.
I am only asking for $100 for this van. It will make an excellent restorer for anyone interested in Commers.
The chassis number is; AB5824LWS0.
If anyone is interested in buying this van please contact me at;

Hello.
Shortly I visited the site http://www.carsurvey.org/ gathered around somehow. It looks great.
But please let me introduce myself.
My name is Roel Bolt and I am the secretary of the Dutch Commer Club since august his year, called "CCN" for, Commer Club Nederland.
I've been secretary from 1990 until 2000 and now after a period of rest I joined again the committee.
The reason I contact this site is because we are searching for parts for our Commers. We have some 120 members in the Netherlands, but most of them drive the Commer Walk Thru version KC (A) H (N) 3023 and 4023, rebuild as mobile home. There are some P (A) B-2500 also. We would like to know where in England spares are available for this type, so I wonder if anybody could help us or maybe give us a hint where to find parts for these special cars.
We are searching for new or used parts, from body to engine, gear, sealing, ball joints, braking, steering etc.
Thanks in advance for any answer.
Greetings
Roel Bolt Secretary CCN

Hello to Anybody who knows anything about Commer's!!
I need some good advice, about Commer campervans. I have recently spotted a 1968 model, and impressed with its pretty lines and shape, have made enquiries about it. The van is for sale, however it has not run for 18 months. Although, it has had new springs, half shaft, (?) overdrive, engine re-bore, (runs on unleaded) etc. and the body work looks generally very good for its age. It does need a new exhaust, battery, thermostat, and no doubt the brakes need servicing. Could anybody please offer any gems of advice and caution etc, should I consider purchasing the thing!! (and any idea what I should pay for it?!!) Please email me anything at all to : ray.clarke@plymouth.gov.uk many thanks.
In Practical Classics magazine, one of the writers (James Stanbury) is running a Commer van. There's always monthly snippets about it in the Staff Car Sagas section of the mag.
Before taking it to the dump, would anyone have use for a windscreen and one rear window from a 1969 commer PB 1725 van? Email NEdmndsn@aol.com.
