My daughter has a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire we have had the truck in 3 times for repair.
Does anyone else have this problem???
I have a 2004 with a manual transmission and tonight the clutch pedal went straight to the floor just as 2 previous posters noted.
This review came up on a google search for clutch problems so I don't know what went wrong yet since no mechanics are open at this hour.
I also have a manual 2004 Sunfire and I have had trunk problems from the get go, along with the passenger seat always sticking. Just the other day my clutch pedal went straight to the floor (I have 100000km on mine). I was also told it was because the hose was badly positioned and it was rubbing until it worn a hole in it. Now I am faced with trying to find a hose that doesn't cost a fortune (only from the dealer and $280 Cdn.) Any suggestions?
Here's the solution to all your 2004 trunk closing problems:
Spray generously some WD-40 or similar lubricant on all moving parts in the trunk latch mechanism. Then, with a crowbar or similar strong piece of metal, gently pry the metal hook that the latch closes around up and back (towards you). The latch is getting stuck and when you close the trunk it's pushing the hook that it latches to down. The harder and more often you close it, the more you're bending the hook so that it eventually will never catch. An easy fix for under $10 that literally ANYONE can do them self. My mechanic did it for me for free and explained the whole problem. Good luck.
Own a 2004 Sunfire Si 2 door coupe. Just developed a beep on my passenger side rear tail light. Some one explain to me, if this bulb is about to burn out, or do I have a bigger problem? The beeping happens when I lay on the brake and signal right. Someone help me out here.
I bought my 2004 Pontiac Sunfire SE used in July 2006 with only 31,000 miles. Only problem I had out of mine until recently was sometimes it acted as though it didn't want to start. Otherwise over the course of the past few months, when going into OD, the transmission shifts very rough. Any suggestions? Maybe someone with the same problem?
I have a 2004 Sunfire CP, and sometimes I'm driving and stop, and sometimes don't stop - I push the gas and it seems like it won't go ,but then I notice the car shuts off... I think it does it more when I have my air conditioner on... Does anyone have this problem?
