1973 MG BGT MGB GT from UK and Ireland - Comments

Hello,

im a first time MG buyer and need a few pointers please...

A) im looking at a '73 MG BGT chrome bumper.. i know its October, but is it completely impractical to drive throughout the british winter?? and will it and I survive the cold?? (not garaged but I intent to use a cover)

B) I live in highgate, north London - any recommendations as to reasonable/reliable MG mechanics in the area?
