Also have the problem with brakes binding on the front of our fiat scudo, how do you adjust the linkage to the servo to solve the problem?
Having similar probs with 03 scudo changed disc calipers mastercyl vac pump non return valve still having instances of good brake then solid pedal no brake any ideas thanx.
Hi.
I have a Citroen Dispatch (57 plate) and last week the cam belt snapped. I have now been advised by my local dealer that the fuel pump seized but that they have no idea why. Rather than try to investigate why and also to assess whether any further damage has been done to the engine they have sent a fuel sample to France and not worked on the van for 4 working days (7 my working days) and seem in no hurry to resolve the problem.
Has this happened to anyone else and if so what was the cause?
Thanks.

Please help me!! I have a Fiat Scudo 1999 Combinato which has continuously broken my heart. I've had the same problem that has been described in these pages re braking system, or lack there of. It consists of an intermittent hard brake pedal with the drivers side front wheel almost melting in the process. To date we have changed calipers, pads, brake servo, and adjusted the linkage to the servo as described in the last few enteries-all with a small positive effect but not solving the problem. The brakes were binding solid but this has all but gone but there is still a small amount of binding on the drivers front. At speed the steering wheel shakes and the brake pedal shakes under-foot but if you pull over and rev the be-jasus out of the engine and pump the brake pedal it comes right for a while. Its wrecking my head (and my mechanics) and I can't afford to keep pumping money into it.
Whats the next step?? Vacuum pump? Master cylinder? or cliff?!
I once had an old BMW motorbike upon which one of the rubber fexi hoses going to the caliper had perished inside. This made them into a sort of non-return valve which slowly locked on the front brake and blued the disc.
If I ever have a brake problem again, this would be the first thing I'd change, as they looked perfect from the outside.
Thanks for the thought but I've given up and flicked it off to a mechanic who seems confident that hes got the problem sorted! Now I'm gonna do what I should have right from the beginning and get the most reliable and hassle free van in the world! A Toyota Hiace!!

Hi, I have just bought a (51) plate Scudo... I noticed that my speedo wasn't working. I have checked fuses and they all look OK... has any one else had this problem, and if so how was it rectified?...
Thanks, Chris.
