Hello all! I'm Gary from Subic and is driving a Lite Ace FX-V with A/T. The car is good and it does the job. I have also experienced overheating problems with it. My uncle gave up on it and doesn't want to drive it because of its overheating problem. When I got to fill it up with almost 5 liters of water in the radiator, It work perfectly fine under the heat of the sun, stuck in traffic in Bacoor, Cavite, with A/C full blast. I even got it to travel from Dasma to Subic without any problems. mileage is 10kms/liter, highway driving. 6-8kms/liter city. It certainly earned its right to stay in my family. Just don't forget to always fill the radiator with water or coolant to keep your adventures trouble-free.

My lite ace toyota suffered an overheating, i decided to make the cylinder head be overhaul, the mechanic found out that the passage of water thru cylinder head, the hole was getting big and we have to make this buildup to return to the original hole and have it brought to machine shop, now no oveheating experienced.

PS.

Symtoms of this is when you frequently add water and water coming out, when you open the radiator cup, start ur engine when water coming out is the time now to decide ur cylinder head to be averhaul almost 6k expenses.

I'm Freddie of Fairview, Q.C., an owner of a 1994 Lite Ace GXL. I bought this van two years ago and the temperature reaches only 1/4 the most in traffic. I began experiencing overheating only last year and the solution was the replacement of the cylinder head gasket. Be sure to replace the cylinder head gasket with an original one. However I have noticed that I only run around 8 kms/ liter. I have asked several Lite Ace owners about their gas consumption and they told me their vans consume around 1 liter per 10-11 kilometers. The primary jet installed in my carburetor is 106 and the secondary jet is 120. Will someone advised me if I need to replace my carburetor jets to extend my gas mileage?

I forgot the name of the cylinder head gasket but I bought it from Toyorama in Banaue. I think I bought it around P600.00.

Hi, I am Al from manila, having trouble with my Lite-Ace 92mdl 4K engine, keep on adding water every time I drive it. I decided to get this van overhauled, I think it's the cylinder head gasket. other than I have no other problems as of now. This van is really good and very cheap to maintain.

To the lite ace owner who changed his tire size to 185/60/13, I would just like to ask, hindi ba bumigat yung pihit nung manibela? considering it is not power steering. My lite ace tire size is 175/70/13. Thanks.

HI to all, I'm Dominic from Cebu and I'm a mechanic by profession and I own a 1990 Toyota Lite-ace. And for the most of you who are having problems with your engine overheating I have an advice for all of you always flush and refill your radiators with 30%water + 70% coolant (ethylene glycol) and make sure your radiator cap is still in good condition as in no rust, no cracks in either the upper or lower gaskets and if so change it, and always refill with the right mixture as said above your fluid reservoir. And for those who are planing to change their engine please try retrofitting an LPG system before even spending on the conversion. But if you really want to change it, change it to a more powerful engine like a Toyota 3C-T engine just like what I have right now on my ride. And also check your oils this might not seem to all of you that your oil might affect your performance I recommend using an oil not greater than 15w40 if possible use lower viscosity high grade oil like Caltex Havoline fully synthetic or energy and add pert'ua oil additive if you could find one near you.

Hello Guys, I am Wynn from Laguna and I also have a GXL '94 L-Ace. I got it B/N and works really well. I'm having overheating problems with it lately but other than that it is great. I use Caltex Delo Gold for oil (even on my car and bike) since I bought it and I find the oil very very good in all driving conditions. I do a lot of long distance driving in my line of work, with heavy load too. Synthetic oil or Fully Synthetic oil is recommended for newer engines with small moving part tolerance so I don't recommend using it. Additives are an extra expense and it doesn't do any good, sometimes it will cancel out the existing additive in your oil. I changed the main jets to 116 and 150 on the secondary... what a great improvement. I make 12km/Lt hi way and 10km/Lt city... but again driving habits have a very big factor in getting good mileage plus a a good tune-up.

Finally found a good site where we L-Ace owners can exchange experiences and ideas. More Power!!!
