I have Mark II, 35th Anniversary, 2003 model. The car is fabulous. I noticed significant improvement in fuel consumption and drive by replacing two filters. 1. Air Filter (Part # 17801-70050), 2. Oil Filter (part # 90915-20003). I also replaced the pollen Filter for the A/C. The engine oil I am using is Mobil1 (SAE 5W/50) fully synthetic. Now, it is a different Mark-II I am driving which is giving me over 11KM/Lit with silent, smooth gorgeous drive!!!

Hi! My name is Robert, from Kenya. I own a 1993 Mark II SX80 body Manual transmission. It runs like a dream considering our bad roads in rural kenya-i think this is the greatest car ever made by Toyota. Despite its Rear wheel Drive it Gives me over 10km/ltr.

Hi, an update of my 2004 registered Mark II first posting is that vehicle is now reaching its' 50,000km mark. So far, nothing wrong with the vehicle and car average approx 10-10.5km per litre under urban driving.

Love the in-line 6 Engine which is always smooth and perform silkily even when rev to the limit. As for the suspension, it is firm, but not to the extent of having a sore back after a long journey and small potholes can be absorb w/o any problem.

Fortunately for me, my Mark II Grande model did not have the LCD screen and I am not bothered with the instruction in Japanese.

So far having fun with the vehicle and also the fact that it's pretty rare in Singapore which gives this Toyota Mark II a unique talking point.

As for ICE, have connected to the standard factory stereo setup a 4 channel Genesis amplifier plus changed the front and back speakers to DSL (front) and Soundstream (rear)which now gives me a sound system which I truly enjoyed very much.

A Great car to own and drive.

I own a mark 2 grande 2003 in pakistan and it has a truly amazing drive. However, the issue of non availability of spare parts, which dreaded me the most has finally occured. The left side view mirror together with its casing was badly damaged in an accident and I can't seem to find a replacement anywhere in the market. Any suggestions would be welcome and extremely helpful.

Hi all.

I own a Mark II Grandee, 2003, 2000cc model, in Karachi Pakistan. Despite the bad roads, this car is truly awesome. In my view, it is by far one of the best cars I have driven. The only problem is the LCD screen is in Japanese. I would really appreciate it if someone could please send me a copy of the English translation of the screen or car manual in English. My contact is: shariqnaqvi@hotmail.com

I would like to know why toyota is not marketing the mark 11 in the USA. This awesome car will sell like hot cake in america. The shape the smoothness, the pure elegance and beauty of this automobile will not fail to pass the notice of true car lovers and not to mention the dependence of a toyota firepower under the hood.

Re: Airbag problem.

I believe there is a problem with your Airbag system and this needs to be shown to a Toyota Dealer in your country. It could be a electronic sensor problem or the Airbag System may need to be checked and replaced if necessary. Usually these are not common. By the way how old is your car?

Regards,

Sanjay.
