I have a Optra sedan 1.6A,problem is jerking from N to D, it occurs sometime, to avoid this problem is just soft acceleration after N to D.

A way to safe FC is gentle acceleration and avoid traffic jam area, because this car is heavy, the FC will goes higher in this way.

My car FC about 9.5-10 km/L with 80%urban and 20%highway, I think is OK for this car.

I have an Optra 1.8LT too. I have it for almost 5 years now, and it seems to performed well so far. I have done some minor modification, such as K&N Air Filter, stabilizer, HID lights and changed rims to 17". Stabilizer will help with responsiveness. The petrol consumption is still very good, about 10 - 11km/ litre. The ride is still comfortable for such size rims. My highest speed I got on the speedometer was 192km. Note: I have a full body kit so that add weight. But so far so good.

There are some setback is you have to take good care of the car, and also need delicate handling and care. However, I guess it rewards you when you do that. The only problem I have with the Optra is the ride when I lowered it, and like everyone else said, the battery dies quickly.

:)

I have bought chev optra 1.8lt 2004 done 37000 km and we programmed the tcm calibration with the latest software calibration to improve shifting as per description of the program. this issue is about jerking when shifting the gear from "n" to "d". but the problem is, when performing the program it fails when reaches 70% of the downloaded file. I tend to perform the program due to the jerking concern and as describe in gm bulletin.

Please somebody help me to restore my previous calibaration file.
