When I took my '99 Expy E-B to a dealer near my house for 1st check up and recall on front brakes at around 10K, the dealer insisted that it had a bad transmission that needed to be replace under warranty, I refused because I thought everything was working fine, but the dealer made me feel uneasy because he scared me with "it eventually will goes out when you're out of warranty and will cost around $3k-$4K" I went home and checked with a friend who had the same year model that took his '99 Expy to that dealer, my friend said that he let the dealer replaced transmission under warranty because the dealer convinced him that he had a bad transmission. Guess what, now at 140K, the same original transmission is still going strong, no problem. The greedy US car dealers are destroying the car manufacturers and their workers.

I bought a 2004 Expedition Eddie Bauer this past November 2007. Love the vehicle but this morning I went to leave and it's acting like it doesn't want to crank and all the dials on the dash are going crazy. It's never given me a minutes worth of trouble before today. There is no check engine light on and system checked out OK on all points. Any suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Mary.
