Hi guys!

I used to live overseas and I had an Accura integra... I miss my baby so much and the Gen2 seems to be the closest thing in the Egyptian market to my previous car...however, the streets are full of potholes and bumps and such... How is that affecting your car? and also, seriously, please, someone needs to tell us about the spare parts and maintainence. I was ready to buy one then someone said the maintainance and service in Egypt is terrible.

Pleaaase tell us!

Cheers.

Hey all I have been studying this car since one year and really I want to buy one.

I tried the automatic 1.6l gen2 on El da2ery and here what I found :

advantages:

1-stability superb feel like german great cars

2-easy handling

3-the acceleration is superb after 80 km

4-lookin good etc etc etc.

Disadvantages:

-the response of the automatic in kickdown shifting

is slow according to nissan sunny 2007 family car.

-------

really I appreciate car's reviewrs to estate their old owned cars so we can easily make a comparison and begin to some kind trust their words in car opinions.

According to me I hae got an 1998 suzuki swift 1.3 and it is so smooth and have a good acceleration manual.

Accoording to what I have tried in proton it's a great car, but sure if iam going to buy it i'll buy the manual trans.

I just wanna say to people who say about the gen 2 is cheap and plastic from inside i'll tell them please look at all cars in egyptian market you will find it poorer than gen2 like the grat ford focus interior is awful.

Also one of my best friends got a 2003 bmw 318 with 2000cc 143hp he was affraid from a gen2 driver to pass his car sure the gen2 didn't pass his car, but just the feeling that such small car compared to bmw that can pass you in street while you are using the motor limits this is a good performance for gen2 and we must apperciate this.

About the drivers in the street all of them they are satisfied from there new car not just for the look as many goes for it even me, but also la kadar allah in accidents :

i found one parking in mobil el orouba and he told me that I changed the car drivers door for just 2000 and the struts like normal cars like lanos and this stuff.

Some people told me about problems like

1-sound you hear when you steer extreme left I think

2-the light motor donot function

3-the electric glass donot function.

But cheer up the dealer can fix all of this for free.

But the most thing anoying is the dealer timing

most people are unhappy with it because of timing not service or the egyptian saying that this fault maybe from usage none of that crap.

From my opinion if you addore a car then you must pay the tax of service or cheap plastic things or else, but nothing is perfect untill every one of you can bring his dream car.

Resale is not good, but who cares.

I hope that I give all of you what I heared and experinced and goodluck for your cars.

Hey guys, I've been going through your comments and I must say everyone has been quite optimistic. Feels good to own a gen2, just bought it 2 days ago and its fantastic. I am driving the 1.3 AT, and so far acceleration was not great but other people I know said it improves after 5000KM. Air conditioning and interior is great, despite the plastic problem inside..haha..but overall it's a good buy, and worth the price. Thumbs up!
