1997 Daewoo Nubira CDX 2.0 petrol

Summary:

Easy to drive, a great entry level car

Faults:

The engine is quite noisy when revving.

When I first bought the car, there was a problem with the lock on the driver's door, but fortunately, that was easily fixed by the mechanic.

The fabric lining on the passenger's door has started to loosen and pop up.

The passenger's window can only be closed using the button on the driver's door.

General Comments:

I had the car for a year and it was generally functioning very well. I didn't have to spend much on maintaining the car, apart from changing worn out tires.

I felt that the seat was comfortable, and it was good that the steering wheel could be adjusted up or down to the desired level.

This is my first car and I found it very easy to drive.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

Umm from 1997 to 1999 the Nubira were not 2.0 litres, they were 1.6 litres. After 1999 they changed the engines and used 2.0 litres!! Yours is a 1.6.

Summary:

TRAGIC!

Faults:

Petrol gouge was showing 1/2 when petrol tank full. Unit replaced THREE times, and still shows 1/2 when full!!!

The 5th door on the station wagon is not working on central locking. After three different services It's still the same - always open - I can lock it manualy with a key!

Rust on the roof rack - black plastic peels off. Replaced after warranty because the mechanics were ignoring my calls to replace it earlier!

CD player replaced after only 6 months - it was full with water from the rain!

Camshaft replaced after mechanics ignoring my request to be checked!

The glue on the inside of the doors is dry and from the moisture the material is loosed.

General Comments:

After having Holden I thought there is no way that I can buy bigger lemon - it is possible and I got the CHAMPION OF THE LEMONS!

Do not come near this car - I got three years warranty and this company NEVER fixed anything.

Worst customer service - CUSTOMER CARE CARD is useless - I was treated as "I do not care customer": when I broke down they call me ONE WEEK LATER!

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No
