2001 Honda Civic Ferio 1.7

Summary:

Cheap

Faults:

Got this car from an auction; it's Japanese import.

Needed a service, two new tyres, and a spring in the clutch master cylinder needed to be changed.

One month later, starter motor went, but got a cheap replacement and installed it myself.

General Comments:

Other than those things, the car drives great, and is very cheap on petrol, even when driving hard :)

Love this car, would definitely buy another Honda.

Ride is a bit rough, but mine is the RS model.

People that complain about the automatic being bad, should learn how to drive and get a manual!!!

Rattles you can't find really get on your nerves, plastic interiors do that, I have a 1972 Chevy Blazer and I have had no problem with the interior rattling, because it is all metal, but there is a trade off, plastic absorb outside noises and the metal does not.

2001 Honda Civic VTi-S 1.7 litre VTEC

Summary:

An absolute bloody bargain

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong, but the car has been recalled to have the side airbag fixed.

General Comments:

Awesome car, it is safe with 4 airbags, ABS braking and side intrusion.

VERY fast (I have left BMW 740iL's for dead at the lights), extremely comfortable on long distances, I also like the heated seats and climate control, they keep me warm even when I am driving in my underwear at midnight!!!

Although it looks a bit frumpy parked next to my boss's Peugeot 307.
