2007 Hyundai Grandeur TG 3.3 petrol

Summary:

It's a luxobarge

Faults:

Nothing yet.

General Comments:

Something that reminds me of the big Buicks or Olds I rented in the 1990's. The ride is floaty, and city road imperfections unsettle the car. Having said that, it has all the toys, is extremely quiet, and the stereo rocks. I never thought I would buy a car like this, but is actually quite good isolating you from nasty Hong Kong traffic.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

The Grandeur is still going strong, and basically no problem. Still not used to the suspension being so soft, but otherwise very happy. Good to see Hyundai making even better cars these days.

Great to hear. Do you still have the luxo barge in Hong Kong? I have seen a few of these cars in Australia with 300,000 km on them, and they still look great. An updated review would be appreciated.

Just sold it after 85k km. Nothing really wrong with it, but parts are somewhat expensive here and it drank a fair amount of gas. A real shame that the brand is still not much respected in HK, and the used value is basically nothing. That aside, it gave seven plus years of good reliable service and I am missing it. Next ride: Honda Jazz.

You went from Grandeur to a Honda Jazz / Fit ? That's from one extreme to another. A Grandeur costs 3 times a Jazz. As for the Grandeur, it's the flagship car, so extremely expensive to repair. The Genesis sold in the US is anything but a cheap car to run.
