2018 Honda Amaze S 1.2 petrol

Summary:

If you want some punchy performamce with decent comfort and feel in this price point, then go for it

Faults:

Sometimes the transmission feels jerky, especially when you engage 2nd gear.

The second-row comfort could be better, but it still feels good and you can really feel comfortable on long rides.

The suspension is also on the smoother side to improve the ride quality. It is not an issue on the highway, but on slightly bad roads you can feel the bumps in the cabin.

The steering is also not the best in the segment. It is unnecessarily heavy; well it provides good grip and feel on the highway, but it feels heavy in comparison to the other cars of the same segment.

It misses out the LED elements i.e. the LED DRLS etc which I don't count as a problem, but Honda should offer them to be in competition, as the other manufacturers offer it.

General Comments:

The 2018 Honda Amaze is a great choice and a really fun to drive sedan.

It has many pros and cons; that is it has the class-leading boot space, punchy performance, the cabin feels very airy, it has sporty appeal and many more, but the steering and the rear suspension could be better. My comment on the car is that if you're a car enthusiast who wants a peppier engine and is also looking for a family sedan at this price point, then the Honda Amaze would be the best choice for you.

My personal preference and the first priority is the performance, so I would go for the Amaze. On the other hand, if you're looking for a sedan with decent performance and comfort, then you should go for the Maruti Suzuki Swift Desire.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
