1994 Chrysler LeBaron GTC 3.0

Summary:

Awesome car, good gas mileage and reliability

Faults:

I had to replace the timing belt and water pump.

I replaced the tires.

I replaced brakes.

I replaced the front hood, the side fenders, and the convertible top.

The back glass randomly shattered when the top went down, so I replaced it with Plexiglas instead of glass.

The frame got twisted before I bought it, but it doesn't really affect the car. The top doesn't exactly line up, but it latches.

Interior is fine.

General Comments:

I love it.

It was my first car, and we have been through a lot together.

I enjoy owning it.

I even took it to college with me.

It was a great investment.

1994 Chrysler LeBaron 3.0

Summary:

Well designed and big bang for the buck

Faults:

Water pump, Front wheel bearings, transmision.

I have 125,00 miles of excellent service. The transmission began slipping and replaced at 110,000 miles.

The Water pump failed at about 65,000.

The front wheel bearings at 75,000 miles.

Overall I have lots of praise fot the 1994 Lebaron Convertible. I have driven it hard and fast and changed the oil every 3000 miles with Slick 50.

Hats off to Chysler on the 1994 Lebaron Convertible! Signed, Airline Capt.USA.

1994 Chrysler LeBaron LE Sedan 3.0 Liter V6

Summary:

A high-mileage gem

Faults:

The fuel line rusted out (not a really big deal).

My battery went dead.

The serpentine belt came off 3 times.

The transmission has just recently began locking into 2nd gear, and staying, or trying to shift and shifting into no gear. (When you press the gas it is like you are in neutral.)

The seats have started to wear, but this is to be expected.

The oil leaks out very badly.

The alignment was seriously horrible after hitting one bump out of the dealer lot.

The front end drive system had to have major re-hauling directly after purchase. (New tie rod ends, ball joints, entire braking system, etc... $600.00 worth)

After 9 years, the paint, due to being white, is chipping and peeling away, and PA winters have made it rusty! (However, this is to be expected.)

Car radio burnt up in December... wouldn't eject a tape.

All of these to be expected with a high-mileage car.

General Comments:

All in all, and with all the miles on this car, it has been pretty good to me.

It has been a joy to drive, with plenty of zip and performance.

I suppose the only thing wrong with the car is that it has had a few problems, which are hard to deal with when you have only one car and live over 10 miles away from your job!

I like the trunk space and the roominess of the interior... 5 adults can fit very comfortably in the car. In terms of inside compartments, they are virtually non-existent, but you can buy compartments at Wal-Mart to remedy this.
