1994 Lexus ES 300 Premium 188 HP V6

Summary:

Most Stylish, comfortable, easy ride, and comfortable car EVER!

Faults:

Segments of the Illuminated speedometer pointers have faded in and out.

Window (back left) lost ability to go up and down and one window cannot be controlled by master console only by the button located by the window.

Powered antenna was malfunction and constantly drained the battery and made the car not start for a period of 2 weeks until I figured out what the problem was, but other than that the car has started up every single time w/o failure since and before then.

Leather seats have gotten crackily lately, but that's because my car always sits in the sun and its 12 years old...

Engine at this age has lost some compression and is not as powerful as it used to be, but is amazing for its age and the stress I put on it! I drive in Houston which = 100 degree plus days with 20 miles a day in start and stop freeway action!

Trunk lid is not automatic : (

Audio system has faded over the years and is not as clear/crisp as it used to be.

General Comments:

Amazing car, its 12 years old, but when my friends guess the age they are always 5 - 8 years off most think it's a 98 or 99 not a 94! They are shocked when I tell them the age!

As long as you get the suspension nice and new its runs like a beauty even with its age! Great city car b/c the A/C for that car is AWESOME! Get tinted windows though so its not just sittin in the heat!

Also if you got the optional heated seats option it uusally takes about 4 minutes to heat up and they aren't amazingly hot : (

Seats are comfy and VISIBILITY IS AMAZING!! I have ZERO, yes ZERO blind spots in that car! Its unbelievable you don't miss anything!

BEST THING ABOUT THE Car: The Steering! I can turn my car in a 180 degree turn with my PINKY! I have done it and my friends are AMAZED! The steering is so soft and clear its better than more brand new cars!

Handles corners EXTREMLY Well for its age and I have crappy tires on it plus crappy suspension so its amazing it handles like it does!

1994 Lexus ES 300

Summary:

This car is the best value in it's class

Faults:

Powered antenna has broken once, oil leak started at 160000 miles.

General Comments:

This car has a very smooth ride, feels like driving on new pavement everytime.

I researched before purchasing and found this car to be one of the safest vehicles in it's class. Just recently I was stuck in the front driver's side tire and door area by another car at approximately 50 mph. My car was totaled. The engine compartment was destroyed, but the driver's area was not disfigured internally. I walked away with only airbag cuts and burns. I credit this to the quality construction of this Lexus car. I could possibly still be in a hospital if I had been driving a different vehicle.

1994 Lexus ES 300 3.0L 6 cylinder.

Summary:

The best combination of luxury, comfort and economy I've ever found

Faults:

Three window linkages have failed.

One segment on each of the illuminated dash needles (speedometer and tachometer) have burned out.

Rear driver's side door child safety lock is disabled.

Check engine light has come on once - dealer says that a transmission servo misbehaved, but the light has since gone out without intervention and the transmission behaves properly.

General Comments:

Finest car I have ever owned.

Comfort is top-notch.

Styling is impeccable, and it really feels good to drive - still turns heads.

Plenty of power for my driving style, and decent mileage to boot.

Dealer service rates are astronomical, but anybody who works on Toyotas can work on this car.
