2010 Mazda 6 3.7
Summary:
A great car and a high improvement over the 2006 Mazda 6 we had
Faults:
Only a few minor problem. Most annoying was the plastic threaded fasteners that held the tire valve stems onto the wheels. They all cracked and fell apart, leading to a flat that could have been a disastrous blowout on the highway.
Automatic transmission cooler line leaked after 8 years.
Gasket on exhaust pipe failed after 7 years.
General Comments:
It has been a really great car. It does not get that much use; for a 10 year old car it is only driven an average of 11,000 km per year. Gas mileage leaves a lot to be desired, but the performance and acceleration of this car is phenomenal.
It was recalled in its 10th year by the manufacturer for a possible rusted out front subframe (cradle). It was found to be rusted out and it was replaced free of charge at a dealer. Really great service from Mazda.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

Glad you are happy with the car. Like yourself I had an older Mazda 6. Rusted like crazy. I live in the UK and Mazda did not extend the same courtesy towards me, and I was disappointed to have rust on such a young car. Most cars if cared for should not have major rust problems at less than 10 years old (was a 2006 model 6 I owned in 2011 so it was only 5 years old). Sorry to hear they still have their rust issues, but appear to be a bit more reliable than the older model at least. I would advise anyone buying a Mazda 6 to thoroughly check it for rust, even newer ones.
