I purchased my 1998 Millenia S in mid-2001 at 45,000 miles. Now in 2008 I'm just over 125,000 miles, so I haven't done a lot of driving. Car is a collector's item to me, and I will keep it until it doesn 't work anymore. It is shaped and looks similar to a Jaguar, - its lines are classic and still look sleek and attractive. Car is expensive to keep up, - and eats gas. But is powerful and handles smoothly and is quiet inside. Had to replace worn steering wheel (leather) and (worn) auto shift knob after close to 10 years. Put in a custom stereo system by Speakers Works in Orange, - fabulous sounding, - such upgrade cost $5,000+, - worth every penny when stopped or slowed in heavy traffic. Irvine, CA resident. Car runs best at 80 miles per hour, - marvelous on the freeway.

As per a popular consumer's car magazine Mazda Millenia's are a good buy as used cars, only if you buy 1998 or newer.

The previous ones had some electrical problems. The Millenia S have 2.4L supercharged Miller Cycle engines producing 215 HP. The engines are very efficient. The 0-60 mph is roughly 7.5 Secs. It's fully loaded, with leather and all options. I would compare them to Lexus ES300 's.

My wife has had the 1998 Mazda Millenia S since it was new. It is one of the surest handling and quickest cars we have ever owned and we go back to a used 1956 Ford Sunliner convertible. Since the car is no longer made, will it have a collector's value in the future?
