Great looking car. Many possibilities for upgrading the appearance. Almost 3 1/2 years, and no major problems. Great car for the money.

It's like a four-door Eclipse when it comes to driving
I have had nothing wrong with this car. The only thing wrong with it now is that the bumper is broken on it from an incident with a dog a couple months back.
Even though the car I previously owned was a Chevy Camero, I still enjoy the Mitsubishi Galant. It's a great car to start out with. The possibilities on this car are endless when it comes to exterior, interior, and performance. The handling is near perfect even on the 2 year old factory tires. And even though some may think of this as a dumb action, I like how this car drives on the winter roads on the stock tires. The interior is somewhat comfortable and the amount of road noise is rather acceptable. All in all, it's a good car to own and drive. The only thing that is a set back to it is that the newer Galants only come in an automatic transmission. (But if you really want a manual, go and get the transmission switched with that of a 2000+ Mitsubishi Eclipse. I know I will soon.)

I LOVE my Mitsubish Galant!
I was hit in a parking lot before my first oil change. Be sure you get good insurance! The crumple zones do work very well!
The car has been recalled a couple times. But, the larger Mitsubishi dealerships are great. Try to stay away from the ones where Mitsubishi share a facility with other car companies.
I will NEVER again own an Accord! This car is much more comfortable, more stylish, better equipped, and a better overall deal.
Get the luxury package. For another 1500 bucks you can add leather and some other cool features. I also have the wing and a moonroof.
I am asked sometimes, "When did you get your BMW?".
One big problem though: lack of dome lights. There are two map lights in the front, but no lighting in the back.

Garbage
EVERYTHING!
The headliner fell down 12 times!
The sun roof leaks.
Rubber seals became loose and eventually fell off.
Stalled excessively.
In a nutshell it is a Piece of CRAP!!!
And the service department STINKS!
I would not recommend this car to anyone or ever purchase a Mitsubishi again.

Best V6 car in this price range
Nothing has gone wrong so far.
One of the best kept secrets in the automotive world.
Ride is smooth, serene, and the handling is quite good for a car of this size/class.
Engine is strong, smooth, quiet and consumes about average fuel for this engine size/displacement.
Steering offers just the right amount of assist, feedback and reaction to input.
This Mitsu's lines/shape pays homage to the Teutonic styling of German cars, yet somehow promises the value and reliability of cars from Japan.
All these at an attractive price tag.

Great, good motor car
The Mitsubishi Galant 2000 is a great car, I recommend it to anyone in need of a great car. No faults whatsoever. I have had the car for 1 year, it's great.
