Sounds like this car wasn't maintained. And, of course, there's the fact the car had 98,000 miles when you bought it.

1992 Mitsubishi Mirage

Summary:

Very reliable and inexpensive to own, will never get rid of it!

Faults:

Paint is fading.

Headliner is sagging.

Radio does not play AM.

Clogged Fuel Filter.

General Comments:

This is the best car my family has ever owned. It has stuck with us through thick & thin, Good times & bad. It has always started up and run great. Now, it is not the fanciest car in the world, nor the most powerful. But, it is very economical, and great on gas. It may be a tad uncomfortable on long trips, and, may be a little noisy on highway driving, but, to get from a to b, you can't miss with this one.

My 92 Mitsubishi

Rough changing between gears

Computer will not communicate with service computers.

Needs head gasket (quotted at $2000 NZ dollars).

Plugs corroded.

Needs new set of HT leads.

Not worth repairs.

All happened in space of 6 months (excl corroded plugs I guess)
