2008 Pontiac G5
Summary:
It's a piece of crap!
Faults:
Front speakers don't work.
Driver's side door handle (inside) broke.
Gas gauge works when it wants to.
Windows only go down when they feel like it.
Power lock button on the driver's side doesn't work.
Battery dies for no apparent reason.
General Comments:
I must say this car was great for about the first month. About a month after I bought it, the driver's side power lock stopped working, the speaker on the driver's side stopped working, and the back windows seem to have temper tantrums from time to time.
Within the first 6 months of owning this car, the passenger side speaker stopped working (checked the fuses and they are fine), the gas gauge is never correct, I.E. it will say I have 254 km remaining and a few minutes later will say that I have low fuel.
The battery dies randomly, for no reason at all. I have had it to the mechanic a million times, and he even put in a new battery in and still no change.
Just yesterday my driver's door handle stopped working. It won't open from the inside or the outside, which resulted in me having to climb out the window to let my children out of the car.
My brother bought the same year, but in a two door, and he is having most of the same issues as I am with my car!
Needless to say I am completely fed up with this car and will never buy a GM ever again!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
