1997 Pontiac Sunfire SE Dual Exhuast

Summary:

Good looking and running first vehicle for anyone

Faults:

So far a new muffler has been added to replace old one with a hole in it. That's it. I've owned this car for approx 3 months.

General Comments:

I like this car as it is my first vehicle. I have had a lot of compliments on it from people with the body condition and under the hood. I take good car of my belongings and trust I will enjoy this used vehicle for a couple of years more. Its received new brakes, calipers and a new windshield and new muffler. The muffler I added after buying the car. I would buy a new Pontiac anything for my next vehicle. Perhaps a Grand Am GT.

1997 Pontiac Sunfire Convertible

Summary:

I've enjoyed having this car

Faults:

There has been, and will continue to have some water leaking in from the top of the window and dripping down when water pressure is strong in that area. (ex.) going through a car wash or wand wash.

General Comments:

I love this car and am very disappointed to hear all the negative comments about the car.

I'm sad that I have to sell it this year as this convertible cannot accommodate the growing needs of my family (front-facing car seat).

This vehicle has been very good to me for the past seven years- from the summer heat to the -30 degrees Celsius winters.

Maybe this car isn't for everyone, but I sure am going to miss mine.

I am planning on buying a 97 Sunfire convertible with 60000 miles on it. It looks like new, and the only problem I did notice was where water might have been getting in by the windshield. Other than that, it has been a great car for the lady, and I hope it continues to be a great car for me! First convertible.. Can't wait till summer!!

My wife and I have had our 97 convertible for 5 years, and have totally enjoyed every minute of the time. I hope yours is as good as the one we drive. Good luck and enjoy this summer. Our Sunfire now has 140,000 miles, and is still running like new.

Hello, I have a 97 Sunfire convertible and absolutely love it. I miss it when I put it away for the winter time.

It's a good reliable car, enjoy!

1997 Pontiac Sunfire SE 2.2

Faults:

Brakes, Radio.

General Comments:

I bought this car new in 1997. I decided to drive it until it fell apart. It has yet to do so. In the 8 years that I have owned it, the following had to be fixed: Brakes replaced twice (for 8 years, this is to be expected.) Radio died two months after purchase, but was covered and replaced under warranty, and it is still working fine. Last month the water pump went, but we all know any waterpump starts to go after you roll 140 K. I recently bought a 2003 Grand am, and moved my Sunfire into a secondary role. My daughter gets her license in November, so I may just hand it off to her. This has been a fantastic car, and continues to be. I will keep it until something major goes. I have more than gotten my money's worth with this car.

1997 Pontiac Sunfire SE 2 door 2.2L

Summary:

Freaking awesome!!

Faults:

The only thing that really bothers me with my car is that you can't check the transmission fluid yourself! there is no dipstick and my friend has the same car and she doesn't have one either!

General Comments:

I love my car and it is amazing! it beats my last car hands down, in the last year I have put on around 40 thousand KM, I get regular oil changes and tuneups and I haven't had a problem yet...

That says something because I live on a farm and drive fairly rough roads every day, but like I said the car holds up and I love it!
