1995 Fiat Cinquecento Sporting 1.1

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with my little car, he has been perfect.

I had the windows tinted, a stainless exhaust system fitted, Spax suspension and refurbished the standard alloys (in black anthracite)

I also had a Clifford Alarm system fitted because my university seems to attract thieves!

General Comments:

When I was accepted at university I knew I was going to have to get a little car, I had to have good MPG and low insurance!

I resigned myself to buying a Fiesta or Corsa, but then I saw my little "clifford"

He has been a great car, a fantastic little performer who has never ever let me down! He starts in all weathers, always makes me smile and I really enjoy driving it!

All my mates like it, they think it is like a little go-kart!

I can understand that not everyone will like the Cinquecento Sporting, all I can say is drive one!

THen maybe you will understand why everyone thinks they are so great!

THey run for ever on £10, do well over 100mph, can be fixed up to look nice, all in all a great little package!

My first ever Fiat, and I think they are very good, I am going to try another Fiat, maybe the new Punto Sporting (2001 Model)

My mum is now having my Cinquecento, we will have 2 yellow cars on our driveway!

Hope this helps!

1995 Fiat Cinquecento Sporting 1.1 Sporting

Summary:

Its true what they say; good things come in small packages!

Faults:

Exhaust System is finally sorted. Each part of it seemed to break systematically!

Strange vibration from the heat shield. Eventually prised off by my Dad!

The wires in the horn fused together, resulting in the horn continuously blowing! I had to remove the fuse to stop it!Auto-Electrician sorted it out!

The motors in the wash bottles are "lazy" and i`m far to cheap to pay for new ones! You can often see me driving down the East Lancashire Road, hanging out of the window with a bottle of water!

One of the earth wires fused itself onto the ignition wire! Sorted out by the RAC and thankfully had not completely fused itself!

General Comments:

I LOVE this car!

Its nippy and is really quite fast!

It looks really cool! I love the bright, vibrant colors!

They arrive with a great package; alloy wheels, tinted windows, electric windows, plus more!

Sat at traffic lights in the slow lane of a dual carriage way, a boy racer in a nova or metro arrives at the side of you, believing that they can out-do you!...I don`t thnk so!...Get lost!

The "Sporting" is definitely worth the extra money!

You must buy one...Now!

1995 Fiat Cinquecento Sporting 1.1

Summary:

A Sexy Little Package!

Faults:

Dodgy sound from the exhaust. Could it be the heat shield?

I had other problems with the exhaust. I have had the car around 4 months and the exhaust system is finally just about right.

Replying to another review, I have also found numerous problems with the balancing.

I had to have a new steering rack needed. I was told that this is a common problem with the Cinquecento.

General Comments:

The handling of this car is amazing! Every time I drive it, you can feel the car sticking to the road! Great round corners.

Cruises easily at 80mph along the motorway, although I`v easily topped 100mph with no problems!

A great little package. Alloy wheels, electric windows and tinted windows, and all in a low insurance group.

Great on fuel consumption! 10 quid gets me about 160 miles!

The car is somewhat strange looking, but a real little city car and really does look great!

Leaves boy racers standing!

Summary:

Boy Racer Beater!

Faults:

Strange vibration when I reach 50mph and then disappears. Could be the Heat Shield?

Someone keeps trying to break into it!

General Comments:

Excellent handling. Takes corners like a dream!

Really nippy. Leave all those boy racers behind at the lights!

Looks pretty cool due to tinted windows and alloys.

Extras such as electric windows and alloy wheels are great!...And all in a low insurance group!

Cheap to run. If you don`t ram it at 95mph on every motorway journey, £10 quids gonna last you AGES!

An excellent car. I absolutely LOVE it!
