1991 Ford GTD40 Mark II 5.0 V8 petrol

Faults:

Reliability not good. Electrical failures, throttle cable got disconnected from Carb, fuel pump issues.

General Comments:

If you want a replica GT40, then this is the best one I've driven/had. The engine can be tweaked to about 450bhp without too much cost, though comes at just over 300bhp. A true classic of a classic.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

Interesting review, albeit written a long time ago. Had to look up what these were - knew of the GT40, but not the GTD40 (anyone know what D stands for?).

Apparently they are really good replicas sold in the 80's and early 90's, but are expensive, but obviously not as much as an original 1960's GT40.
