2004 Honda Jazz Sport 1.4

Faults:

None.

General Comments:

This car is probably the best car that I have ever owned, it feels like a much bigger car than it is. The build quality is superb. The magic seat system is unmatched for ease of use. Attention to detail is without doubt nothing short of amazing in the 2005 model, much improved over the previous good car. The automatic is well worth the extra, as you get a CVT, a conventional type Auto (7 Speed) or 7 Speed Semi Auto with steering wheel mounted paddles (like F1.

Outstanding.

I agree and know about the performance especially with the 7 gears- I just got done for speeding!!

2004 Honda Jazz SE 1.3 petrol

Summary:

Highly recommend this little car - excellent value for money!

Faults:

I can honestly say that I have found nothing wrong with the car, the only negative point would be that it can be rather noisy at high speeds.

General Comments:

I was rather apprehensive about downgrading to this little car having previously owned an HR-V, but have been absolutely delighted with the performance, economy and versatility.

The space inside is deceptive - more than capable of carrying my bicycle with out having to take off the front wheel.

Visibility is excellent especially like the little side windows that enable good visibility to the front of the car.

I find the car to be comfortable even on longer journeys with plenty of leg room for my 6'2" son. Is fun to drive and handles well.

Stereo compared to others I have had is excellent - though would be good to have controls on the steering wheel, but that is a minor point.

Cute little car.

2004 Honda Jazz 1.4 SE 1.4

Summary:

Great car for town and occasional long motorway journeys

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

I spent 3 months researching the small car market before deciding on the Jazz. I have not been disappointed by my decision to buy it.

Leg room in the back is excellent, much better than my previous 1999 Toyota Corolla. It is helped by the very small hump in the middle of the floor.

I particularly like the versatility of the seats and the storage area under the magic seats. My children use this area for their bits and pieces.

The manual is not very clear about the use of the air intake control when using Air Conditioning to cool the car interior. On a dry day it advises you to set it to take in fresh air. I used the air conditioning on this setting for 5 miles prior to stopping at a petrol station. I was alarmed at the amount of water dripping from the bonnet as a result of the condensation. My dealer advised me it is normal, but they would have set the control to re-circulated air until the car was cooled down.

Just one small irritation. If you use the windscreen wipers when the driver's window is down water is wiped into the car. During the current dry spell I keep getting sprayed with water when I use the screen wash.

Why do you need the driver's window down if you have air conditioning?

Also, the water dripping is normal, and the more water that is driping indicates just how efficient the air conditioning is! But as the dealer said, it is best to use it on the recirculation mode to initially cool the car down, then switch to fresh.
