1984 Honda Prelude EX 1.8 12v

Summary:

Japanese Knight Rider

Faults:

When bought needed a new exhaust, tyres, and other sundry bits.

Bonnet (hood) has faded red paint which is getting worse, and now the roof is going blotchy.

Driver's seat torn.

Electric sunroof wouldn't close properly, tracks needed greasing.

Also under a streetlight the rear quarters look a different shade of red, indicating a possible respray.

Oh, and the key doesn't operate the boot or glovebox lock.

And one brake light bulb keeps failing intermittently, causing a load of warning lights to show on the dash.

General Comments:

Great cheap car. Cost £900, with a full service history (mostly main dealer) from new.

Car looks good (no rust, although starting to go round the sunroof and in rear wheel arches) but is let down by faded paint and tarnished alloy wheels.

Goes like a rocket, although it is the most powerful car I have ever owned, will wheelspin viciously in 2nd in the wet.

Has only let me down once, when the (original) alternator failed. Regular maintenance the key. Why buy new?

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I live in Toccoa, Ga ( U.S.A). I would like to see a picture of the car. I am interested in the car. The price is good and I think it is a nice starter car.

I am interested in this car. It sounds like a good car to start off with. I am expecting a baby in May 2007 and I am really desperate.

Please send me some pictures of the car to my e-mail address: wishukud0420@aol.com.

Thanks!
