2005 Hyundai Coupe SE 2.0 16v

Summary:

It's a very sensible and well priced, reliable car that is sensational to look at

Faults:

Slight creak from front anti roll bar, some spray greased cured it. Most likely caused by salted winter roads.

General Comments:

Fantastic, got a great deal on a very low mileage and well maintained Coupe. In bright red with black leather, red stitching. It's the facelift one with the dark headlamps and looks awesome. The ride is firm, but controlled and comfortable, and the handling was far better than I expected it to be.

The performance is good. It's not a very fast car, but the engine is smooth and torquey, the auto box is very smooth, and with Tiptronic, a country lane thrash is definitely on the cards.

Around town the economy isn't brilliant, but on the motorway with the cruise control set, it is very much better than expected, at nearly 40 MPG.

It has an excellent heater and air con, and everything works with great efficiency.

Maintenance is great, it's one of the only modern cars with a transmission dipstick for easy checking and fluid changes.

It uses cheap oil, so servicing it very affordable. I change it every 5k miles or 6 months.

Parts are very cheap and the car is very easy to work on.

I love the indicators on the right of the steering wheel; much better for the right handed majority!

It looks so imposing as it is quite a big car, and in a bright colour it stands out; it gets a lot of compliments and admiring looks.

2005 Hyundai Coupe GT 2.7 V6

Summary:

Quick, comfortable and effortless driving!

Faults:

The silver middle console un-clipped, however because the car was under warranty, they replaced it.

On one very cold morning, the parking sensors stopped working for no reason, and then came back to life the next day.

That's all the trouble I've had in the past 18 months.

General Comments:

Love the performance of the V6, very easy to drive. 6 speed gives good economy on the motorway with long gearing.

MPG is poor round town, but that is expected, don't buy a 2.7 V6 and expect more than 30mpg combined.

Being a GT, it has everything in it, and I've just done a European road trip covering 2000 miles, and it was effortless.

2005 Hyundai Coupe 2.0 SE 2.0

Summary:

Great looker for little money

Faults:

The batteries in the alarm key-fob failed at 11pm on a very cold December night and I couldn't open the car with out the alarms sounding - eventually I blagged it the 2 miles home with alarm siren wailing and lights flashing - next day got some batteries and all is well now.

General Comments:

Highly appointed cabin and loads of toys only found on other manufacturers high end expensive cars. Great looker - always turns heads (mines in Ferrari red)

Legroom in the back is non-existent with a 6ft driver

Massive boot space

Performance is OK, but could be quicker to match the looks - would like to try the 3.5 V6!

2005 Hyundai Coupe 2.0 SE triptronic. 2.0 petrol

Summary:

Value for money looks flash for little cash

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

Great looking car much better than old model, shame they did not make a real engine to go in it as they are all slow incl the v6.but all said a very well put together car and 5 yrs warranty who else can match that!

I used to own a m3 evo so I was used to high performance, but not anymore.

Great handling and steering. inside is very smart!!

A def value for money motor and I would recommend to any1.

2005 Hyundai Coupe SE 2.0

Summary:

Fantastic car overall and would definitely purchase another when its time to replace it.

General Comments:

Great car to drive. Very happy with it.

Have driven the car on long journeys during the Xmas period and found it to be very comfortable for a car with sports suspension and low profile tyres.

Some bits and pieces could be improved, such as, the drivers window and passengers windows should be one touch to close and open.

The car gets looks wherever it goes as well! It does look very flashy.
