1995 Mazda MX3 V6 1.8

Summary:

Nice little sports car with a massive boot

Faults:

N/A

General Comments:

Whilst driving my old car I thought to myself why buy a hatchback and try to make it look like a sports car? Why not just buy a nice looking sports car! So that's what I did. And it has been my best buy yet.

Some people buy a car for speed this car has speed! Some people buy cars to get attention from the opposite sex (I don't need to do that, but some do) this car also does that! Some people want an all round economic car and that's this one! I would advise anyone looking for a vehicle which is sleek, sexy, has a great sound and brilliant road handling skills should look no further.

Whilst I opted for a manual for a more involved driving experience some can opt for the Auto (for the more chilled out I hear).

Another good point is that the car has a really good top speed (In england the fastest road is 70mph) but does not compensate by losing maneuverability.

Petrol can go fast at times, but that depends on how you drive, never let the petrol get to low.

1995 Mazda MX3 1.5

Summary:

1.5 twin cam rocket

Faults:

Absolutely nothing.

I have nothing but praise for this car.

General Comments:

I had a Subaru Impreza 1.6 before this and thought it was the best thing ever. But once I drove this around corners doing about 80-90 and it didn't budge, I knew it was the right car.

It looks stunning - white, twin spoiler, blue neons, tints, etc.

Absolutely great.

I almost bought one of these a few years ago. Absolutely loved the way it drove and the cargo room for its size. Problem was, at 6' 2", the seatbelt kept choking me so I didn't get the car. Poor design in an otherwise brilliant car.

1995 Mazda MX3 'Jap Import' 1.5i twin cam petrol

Faults:

Nothing! Except the petrol tanks empties twice a week....

General Comments:

I spent 7 months looking and test-driving most the 'main-stream' cars here in Ireland, ie the Fords, Opels, Hondas, Rovers, the 323's, the 406's, the 316's etc and nothing gave me the adrenaline rush like this car... I recommend a Jap. Import, especially if you live in Ireland because we normally get the base models here and have to pay an extra 50% just for an option like a spare wheel!!

The big disadvantage about this type of car is the roads here are like the surface of the moon, sometimes I regret I didn't buy a Land Rover!!!
