1995 Mazda MX5 iS (UK car) 1.8 16v petrol

Faults:

Nothing so far.

General Comments:

The hard top is worth having for security and it looks better than having the soft top up, when you take it off the car really comes into its own.

What it lacks in power it makes up for in handling ability, fantastic.

The best convertible sports car for the money, as BBC's TOPGEAR pointed out.

I disagree with the statement that the hard top makes the car look better. As far as I'm concerned the hard top spoils the natural curves and styling of the car. The new MR2 comes without the option of a hardtop; a decision made by Toyota simply because they felt, it did just that.

Get your roof down all the time, that's what I say. The heaters keep you nice and warm even if it's freezing outside and, if you are willing to look stupid yourself and get a bit wet (although, wind your windows down and stay above 55 and the wind-flow will stop that) the car will look far better.
