2010 Skoda Yeti 2.0 turbo diesel

Summary:

Car good - customer support dire

Faults:

I damaged the right suspension when I skidded against a foot path. This is the real problem.

The car has been in the garage since early December, and they are still waiting for fairly basic parts from the depot in the UK.

I spoke to SKODA customer service, but they were absolutely useless, and plied the mantra of a new parts system being operated for Ireland, and the system not fully bedded down yet. I have now been without the car since early December, and will not have it back before mid January - never ever again will I buy a Skoda.

General Comments:

The car itself is a pleasure, but unfortunately customer support is below derision.

This is a fantastic car with top notch build quality and engineering. If there was ever a car that Skoda can be proud of, this is the one! Amazingly flexible 1.2 engine that feels like a 1.8 petrol - I love this car, it's the mutts nuts ;-)

We absolutely love EVERYTHING about the SKODA YETI.

We had to get a car that had a good size boot for an adults wheelchair, self propelling wheels, and a wheelchair seat.

It's like a jigsaw puzzle fitting it all in, but the Yeti swallows everything - it's amazing.

We just had to move the back seats forwards slightly to make the boot a bit larger, and so they have no leg room in the back now, but that's how my two 6' tall children prefer it.

It's such a compact vehicle, that I can finally park in small places, even when we need the disabled access, but we can't park in the disabled bays, as sometimes they are all filled up with selfish people that aren't disabled.

I have a automatic 1.2l, and it managed great in the snow that we have just had in the UK.

We all feel so safe in this car, that we recommend it to anyone and everyone.
