1984 Vauxhall Cavalier GL 1.6 petrol

Summary:

A steal if you can find a decent one!

Faults:

Distributor cap was faulty.

Seats worn.

Rust on both rear arches.

Light on the speedo display was faulty.

General Comments:

A very comfortable car that drives well and is extremely quick for a 1.6.

Fuel economy is not very good, 25-30 miles per gallon depending on how it is driven.

All in all, a very nice car.

1984 Vauxhall Cavalier L 1.6 petrol

Faults:

Water pump need replacing.

Rear shock rusted through.

General Comments:

I bought this car for the startling sum of 250 pounds with 93,000 on the clock and 14,000 miles later it is still going strong.

Performance is OK, economy can reach 40mpg and it has never failed to start.

The interior tends to start falling apart at high mileages but apart from that this car is an excellent workhorse.
