I own a 2002 300M Special and have NO problems what so ever. It just takes proper maintaining. Brakes being replaced so much is from bad driver/driving... I have well over 100,000 miles and have only done regular maintenance!

I have done 30k with a 2000 model year 300m which I have replaced shock absorber, 4 rotors, a rear taillight etc. Overall it's a excellent car specially it's engine, powerful and good in mileage.

2002 Chrysler 300M Special Edition 3.5L HO from North America

Summary:

Good car/Good price if bought used! FAST!

Faults:

Nothing has really gone bad with the car yet. I replaced the serpentine belt when I first bought the car. I replaced the tires which set me back about $1,000. Toyo Proxes. So far a great car!

General Comments:

The car is very fast and I love how it feels!

The Sport shifting is a blast around the corners/curves!

The XEON lights are a very good feature. The difference is so amazing!

The gas mileage is not as well as hoped. About 22 in town and 26 on the highway. Though many say it requires 93 Octane because of the HO for the Special Edition. The manual says 87-89 is better than 93.

The Tire Pressure monitoring system is a very nice feature to have.

2002 Chrysler 300M from North America

Faults:

A sensor went out at about 30,000 miles and was replaced by the dealer under warranty.

General Comments:

I LOVE this car. It's fast, it's sleek and it is a joy to drive.

I've worked with two different dealerships for repairs and general service. I've enjoyed doing business with both.

For a domestic manufacturer, Chrysler has not yet ceased to amaze me!
