1996 Honda del Sol Si 1.6 from North America

Summary:

Fun, economical and reliable

Faults:

Tape player stopped working at 63,000 miles. Never had any other problems. No leaks of any kind. Always cleaned and lubricated the roof gaskets every 6 months. Time consuming, but worth the trouble. New Comp T/A's at 50,000 miles, made it stick better and quieter ride.

General Comments:

Fun sports car for the money. Great trunk! Went on a 12,000 miles trip across the U.S. right after graduation and it was a blast! Top off and 100 mph through Montana! Can it get any better? Well, OK maybe at 120 mph! Bought this car new when I was 17 and I still look good in it! My parents liked the fact it was a Honda and wouldn't leave me stranded and I liked the fact that it wasn't my mom's Sable wagon, their choice for my first car!

Would I change anything on the car?

The sun visors. Let them move to the side. Better sound system so you can hear the stereo at highway speeds with the top off. A boyfriend who doesn't mind that I drive! Ha!

1996 Honda del Sol V-Tec 1.8 liter from North America

Summary:

The perfect car for young or old

Faults:

Not a thing.

General Comments:

It is a good reliable car for any age person. It is very fast and it is great in the summer time. If you could find a Del Sol with under a hundred thousand miles on it with no mechanical problems you should buy it in a heart beat. On turns this car grips the road better than any car I have ever driven (including a Mazda Miata).
