2009 Lexus RX from North America
Summary:
Poor design, not backed by Lexus
Faults:
At 70400 miles the planetary assembly came apart! Transmission is gone with a cost of $4000 to repair. No assistance from Lexus. Ridiculous to have this kind of expense on a luxury car. According to the repair shop, it is a definite defect. Reported to the National Highway Transportation Safety Agency, and would suggest others with similar problems do likewise.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

"Nothing so far" - I would hope that nothing has gone wrong on a Lexus in 240 miles. How about an update?
