1996 Nissan Micra Shape 1.0 from UK and Ireland

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong. (yet!)

It has only cost me twice:

-Two front tires

-Routine service.

General Comments:

This car is very economical:

-Around 45 Miles per gallon

-Cheap tax

-Cheap insurance.

Has quite a feminine image, but looks better with 'Storm grey' paint and a rear spoiler!

The interior is OK, but a little spartan (No clock, rev counter, sunroof), but this is expected on a basic car.

Performance is good for a 1 litre; cruises at 70 MPH and is good around town, but runs out of breath on hills.

Tip: Standard micra mud flaps trap dirt behind them and need to cleaned every 3 months. (Could be a future rust spot?)

Overall, an excellent first time car.

Only trouble has been with the immobiliser (didn't start one morning).

General Comments:

Fast for a 1.0l, needs body colour bumpers, takes serious abuse!

Nice, nippy car. Have only driven Mini's before, this car is as adventurous as a Mini, and although the cornering is not as good as a Mini, it's still fantastic.

I have a R reg Micra Shape.

The car is good, the dealer is very good.

I own an R-reg Micra Shape and have had no problems at all, it is a super little car, 10 out of 10.

Hi my name is Martin P and I've got a 96 micra it's the most amazing thing since sliced bread. My life was dull and un-eventful until I purchased this car and now life is fantastic and I've never looked back, we've been on so many adventures together from Skegness to Bognor Regis. Life is great and we recommended this car to anyone. 10/10 for a quality car.

Well, I've rented Micras in the past and having had a Peugeot 206 written off a couple of weeks ago, needed a cheap little runaround... just got an "N" reg one... first impressions: excellent body (for its age!) reliable, nippy round town, turns on a sixpence... and it's purple!! so who's gonna nick it in Salford! 1996 Nissan Micra L 1.0 petrol from UK and Ireland

Faults:

No faults whatsoever since new.

General Comments:

Extremely reliable motor. Great gearbox and engine combination which will leave just about all other 1 litre cars standing. SO cheap to run. Seems to run forever on £5 of fuel! Looks a bit feminine, though.

1996 Nissan Micra GX 1.3 16v petrol from UK and Ireland

Faults:

None.

General Comments:

Very nice small car without any faults during 2 years use. 1.3 is quite powerful and power steering makes Micra a very nice town car. It's so good that I already ordered the latest '98 model!
