1995 Opel Omega 2.0 petrol 16v from Spain

Summary:

Great blue wheeled beast

Faults:

After a great performance in 9 months, the only problem found out is about the electrical system, that twice took the display panels down.

General Comments:

Except from that, it has a great stability at 180 km/h in a highway drive and a greater feel of security.

Inside the city gets a little hot because of constant stops and the petrol spend goes up, but once again you're backed by a great comfort cabin.

The Ecotec engine supports us with a really low relation between the distance and the spend, on a highway (30 euros for a 400 km drive at 160 km/h average), but not in the city where we can see we lose money for the distance ran.

One more thing to remark is the great capability, and has one of the biggest trunks I've ever seen.

1995 Opel Omega CD 2.0 petrol from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Quality and comfort at an affordable price

Faults:

I have experienced a petrol leakage twice since I bought the car - I couldn't find where from, but it stopped leaking almost immediately.

General Comments:

I have always wanted an Omega, and when I saw an Opel at a dealers next to three Vauxhall versions, it looked lower and more solid.

It seems to have a higher specification than the Vauxhall as well.

It is very comfortable, and has tremendous presence on the road.

I am very happy with my choice.

1995 Opel Omega CD 2.5 from Sweden

Summary:

A big, high performance bargain with high comfort

Faults:

Digital display sometimes lacks some lines of the digits.

Door-hinges in the front doors squeak when a door opens.

Difficult to engage rear gear when cold.

General Comments:

This car is very comfortable. I recently drove to Finland (1400 kilometers) and I only stopped once, but that was only because we were hungry.

Very cheap on petrol 7.5 l/ 100 km on the motorway. In town it drinks around 9.0-10.0 l/ 100 km.

It has plenty of room for baggage.
