2006 Proton Waja Campro P2 1.6 from Malaysia

Summary:

A comfortable car if you can live with the minor sounds

Faults:

Nothing major. Air-con blower has rattling sound. Fixed by dealer. Front suspension sound when going over bumps and undulating surfaces. Fixed by adding rubber washer on top of suspension mounting by dealer in Taiping. PJ dealers just don't bother to check although send to them 3 times. Minor sounds from interior plastics and suspension system.

General Comments:

This is a lot of car for the money here in Malaysia. Interior design is nice and roomy with leather seats and a nice six speaker stereo with MP3 which sometimes seems to be too loud. Handling is firm and comfortable with good steering feedback. Comfortable car for cruising on highways, but sluggish in city driving.

The brake system is not good in the Waja Campro.

2006 Proton Waja 1.6 MT 1.6 16v MPI from Malaysia

Summary:

The pride of the nation

Faults:

No problems at all.

General Comments:

Its probably the best ever car from Proton's stable. Could use a more powerful engine though. Also, could use some minor trim quality improvements.

My 2006 WAJA has never fail a beat. A very comfortable car with very good steering response. Very stable at high speeds.

I think because you do maintain your car and frequent service, rather than other people who only complain about their Waja without doing routine service and maintenance.

My 2006 Waja is still going strong. Love this car.
