2018 Seat Ateca XCELLENCE 4DRIVE 2.0 TDi from UK and Ireland

Summary:

If you need a cross over SUV, this is an OK option

Faults:

Other than servicing and wear and tear parts, no problems.

General Comments:

A little expensive to buy used, but still cheaper than most other SUV's, the Ateca is a decent SUV.

Big, spacious, comfortable, a little cumbersome around town but a good motorway cruiser or country road plodder.

Fast enough and economical. Never a vehicle I thought I would own, but now I see the appeal, far more space than your average family hatch. Feels safe also. All wheel drive is great in winter. Xcellence model is top of range I believe.

Reliability in the long term remains to be seen, but if looked after I see no problems with this modern all wheel drive vehicle.

2016 Seat Ateca Style 1.4 TSI from Turkey

Summary:

Highly recommended

Faults:

Very minor things. Under some heavy rain, the front assist system may fail easily and then comes back after starting again.

General Comments:

I was surprised when I first noticed the way it grips the road - almost similar to a finely tuned hatchback. With 17 inch alloys, it's comfortable enough and does not waver around despite its road clearance.

Very comfy for 4 adults in long distances. Supportive and ergonomic seats. Panoramic sunroof (optional) is a treat and it really adds value and functionality.

However, 1.4 petrol engine is not quite economical, being the only flaw of this otherwise superb car.

You should opt for the goodies such as alcantara seats, panoramic sunroof, electric boot lid and full LED headlights.
