2015 Seat Toledo SE 1.6 TDi from UK and Ireland
Summary:
Economical, reliable, but my God is it boring!
Faults:
Wheel bearings, rear springs, brakes, the usual wear and tear for age and mileage, no major issues.
Rear wiper failed! Stuck in one position. Very common fault on every VW/Audi/Skoda/Seat cars of this time. Not worth fixing, genuine new motor unit is over £280 plus fitting would be an insane cost, no wonder people just leave them when they fail.
The most important component's of the car however rarely fail if looked after. Kept serviced on time and the cam-belt changed these diesel engines are solid.
General Comments:
2015 Seat Toledo. Silver. You will not get a more generic or dull car!
Starting with a positive - the car is very reliable and economical. The 1.6 diesel is a classic that is proven and has decent power while doing 58 mpg or more.
It\s a shame driving it is of course dull. The steering is lifeless, the ride is too firm, the seats are comfortable enough, but even this SE model does not have much kit, and the dash feels laid out a little awkwardly, I am always reaching for buttons. No arm rest on this model/trim level either.
The boot space is HUGE. No wonder these are popular as private taxi cabs.
Super low running costs, cheap tax and insurance.
Really a decent car, but it's just not got much else going for it other than reliability and economy. If you want good basic transport, try one. If you enjoy driving and are looking for a fun car, avoid.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

Some SE models had an arm rest, but it actually made the car more uncomfortable. It's a stupid design that gets in the way of the handbrake when it's lowered down. I had this same car and ended up ripping the original armrest out and retro fitting a better one! It wouldn't surprise me if your car originally had its removed too. Being a taxi driver at the time I had to remove mine, I was spending 8 hours a day + in this car, and its uncomfortable interior is one of the reasons I disliked it - ended up buying a Skoda Superb. Similar economy and much more space and comfort. The Seat Toledo is a decent car but I think your review sums up its negative points as well very fairly.
