2015 Subaru Levorg Sport Premium 1.6 DIT from Norway

Summary:

Nice car, but the motor is a quite small

General Comments:

When you step down gas pedal, it drives quickly at first, but then it stops suddenly after 3000 revolutions.

Nice car and good quality, but should have a greater motor with multiple ponies.

2015 Subaru Levorg 1.6 turbo petrol from UK and Ireland

Faults:

Nothing so far. It seems I purchased the first Levorg in the country a couple of weeks ago.

General Comments:

It only comes in one trim level - top of the range. I chose the Chrystal White Pearl colour and I love it. I purchased from my local dealer in Leeds - this is the fifth new Subaru I have had from them. Like all the others, I expect it to be fault-free, and a pleasure to own and drive.

It's loaded with boys' toys including auto headlamp dipping, which is an amazing piece of technology that works very well. The turbo engine coupled with the Lineatronic auto gearbox work perfectly together, delivering sparkling performance and relaxed cruising.

I've only had the car for 12 days, so I will report on its progress as we go along.

An update on my review above. Lenny the Levorg has continued to perform flawlessly and to delight me every time I drive it. Have done 3000 miles now and I can feel the engine loosening up and its performance is enhanced. One gripe I have is the wheels, because of the low-profile tires if you scrape a kerb whilst parking, it's the alloy wheels which get damaged and not just scuffing the tires; I think the low profile tires are also to blame for a bit of a harsh ride over the terrible roads we have now in the UK, but the road holding and handling are phenomenal!

Love it, love it, love it.

Lenny the Levorg is now just over one year old and has done 7000 miles. He went into the dealer here in Leeds for his first service. I had nothing to report and no warranty work. The service was done whilst I relaxed in the showroom drinking coffee. There was an update to ECU software - and this was installed at the same time. He's all set now for another year of fantastic motoring - my love affair with the Levorg continues.

Lenny Levorg has now covered 12000 miles and is just coming up to 2 years old.

As I expected there were no dramas over the last year, except whilst touring in the north east and then on my way back to Leeds, the tyre pressure warning lamp came on. I checked the tyres when I got home and my rear nearside tyre was low on air; I pumped it up, and as it was going in for service a couple of days later, I pumped it up every day. The guys at the dealer examined the tyre and found I had not one but three large nails in it! There was nothing else to do but replace the tyre. Subaru have use an unusual size on the Levorg and it's hard to find. However, the guys at the Subaru dealer in Leeds sourced an identical tyre of the same make - Dunlop, and the eye-watering price came to £229 fitted including VAT and disposal of the old one! That would make it almost £1000 to replace all four; I was a little shocked at the price, but a check online for this particular tyre revealed it really can't be bought much cheaper anywhere.

The car still makes me smile when I drive it and I love it!
