2018 Subaru Levorg DIT 1.6 turbo gasoline from Turkey

Summary:

A station wagon Impreza STI with a 1.6 turbo and slightly civilized suspension

Faults:

Nothing so far.

General Comments:

This is my second Levorg. The first one was a 2015 and I kept it about a year back then and traded it for an Outback

While still keeping the Outback, I found out this 2018 with only 45000km, went to see the car, test drove it and the deal was done.

The Levorg is not a car that prioritizes comfort on uneven or bad roads. The priority above all is handling and cornering. The 1.6 DIT does not offer sports car level performance, but it's good and more than enough for every purpose.

While car is roomy enough, it's sensibly smaller than an Outback. A Levorg is basically a station wagon Impreza with sportyish suspension. The overall size and roominess is on par with cars such as the Renault Megane wagon or the Golf wagon etc.

There is quite a bit of road noise, but a little music cures this.

In term of steering, engine noise, suspension, gearbox and so on, I found the 2018 being a massive update to the 2015.

The one advice from my side, to the future potential Levorg owners, is just to skip 2015 and 2016 and go for a 2018.

The car doesn't lean in curves. While I am not a speeding driver and am a rather conservative driver, I am always so much surprised why others slow down so much in curves.

That basically summarizes what it is like to drive the Levorg.

2015 Subaru Levorg Sport Premium 1.6 DIT from Norway

Summary:

Nice car, but the motor is a quite small

General Comments:

When you step down gas pedal, it drives quickly at first, but then it stops suddenly after 3000 revolutions.

Nice car and good quality, but should have a greater motor with multiple ponies.

2015 Subaru Levorg 1.6 turbo petrol from UK and Ireland

Faults:

Nothing so far. It seems I purchased the first Levorg in the country a couple of weeks ago.

General Comments:

It only comes in one trim level - top of the range. I chose the Chrystal White Pearl colour and I love it. I purchased from my local dealer in Leeds - this is the fifth new Subaru I have had from them. Like all the others, I expect it to be fault-free, and a pleasure to own and drive.

It's loaded with boys' toys including auto headlamp dipping, which is an amazing piece of technology that works very well. The turbo engine coupled with the Lineatronic auto gearbox work perfectly together, delivering sparkling performance and relaxed cruising.

I've only had the car for 12 days, so I will report on its progress as we go along.

An update on my review above. Lenny the Levorg has continued to perform flawlessly and to delight me every time I drive it. Have done 3000 miles now and I can feel the engine loosening up and its performance is enhanced. One gripe I have is the wheels, because of the low-profile tires if you scrape a kerb whilst parking, it's the alloy wheels which get damaged and not just scuffing the tires; I think the low profile tires are also to blame for a bit of a harsh ride over the terrible roads we have now in the UK, but the road holding and handling are phenomenal!

Love it, love it, love it.
