1997 Subaru Liberty LX 2.2 litre boxer from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Smooth enjoyable ride

Faults:

Had to replace left front speaker mounts, as they rattled when idling.

Glove box sticks a little.

Inside light switch has a dirty connection.

Front lights have moisture inside them and are out of alignment

General Comments:

I drive daily on dirt roads and barely a rattle. Nice and sturdy feeling car.

Get iridium plugs, they are worth every cent.

Decent performance.

Plenty of room in the car, with nice additions such as cup holders and a modern looking dashboard, frameless windows look great and just add to the style and flair this car has, it would look amazing with mags and a body kit...

Great for a family car with plenty of room for groceries..

If you see this car for sale, check into them, they are a great car.

Absolutely nothing has gone wrong with this car.

A remarkable blend of European flair and Japanese reliability. Utter, utter reliability, fun to drive, relatively economical for it's size, terrific grip and wet-weather security from the All-Wheel-Drive. An ideal family hack for an enthusiast.

1997 Subaru Liberty RX 2.5 petrol from North America

Faults:

Minor problem re: dashboard not working on delivery. (Probably caused during fitting of after market alarm.) Fixed by dealer free in two minutes. Otherwise, perfect.

General Comments:

Comfortable, smooth, quiet, excellent value for money. Enthusiasts car, which handles very well due to AWD and has all current passive safety features as standard. Pleasure to own.
