1982 Chevrolet Silverado silverado review from North America
"Would kill to have it back"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My cousin gave me this pickup when for my 16th birthday. It was a baby blue long box 2x4 with some external rust, but nothing real bad. The only problem I have ever had was this one wire that broke that was the ignition wire. The other thing wrong was the 1 ton spring he put on the back. they were nice for pulling trailer, but not when your going on the interstate.
General comments?
I loved that truck so much. It would burnout, pull, go mudding very well for a two wheel drive, and I never had a problem with it. the only part I replaced was the air filter, I put a K&N air filter in it and it had a lot more power after that. I sold the truck for a chevy s10 with a 4.3 which blew up 2 days later due to the past owner never changing oil. I wish I would have never sold that truck. now it is in a junkyard in Doon, Iowa. I'm working on buying whats left of it back and doing a mild restoration to it.
