2000 Ford Taurus review from North America

I bought this car used about 3 months ago. When I bought it had 93000 miles on it, but it was in excellent running condition. The previous owner took really great care of the car judging by the Car-Fax report I ran on it. It also looked like it was in excellent condition. The previous owner never smoked in it and everything looked practically brand new with no stains in the interior or any other interior problems. I bought the Taurus for about 3000 dollars cheaper than what it was actually worth according to the blue book. The only problem I notice with the car is the vibration in the steering wheel occasionally when I come to a stop. The reason behind this is the way the car was engineered the engine was mounted to the front end rather than to the body of the car and so I think it has something to do with the shifting of weight (I don't know much about cars) but in the new 2008 models they say they have changed that. My neighbor is a mechanic and he said that Taurus' were notorious for problems with tie-rods and rotors. People are saying they are really dissatisfied with their cars, but I think that this car is reliable and runs rather well if you take care of it. What car isn't going to have problems if you aren't getting regular maintenance done? Every car also has some glitch which require factory recalls or present small problems. I have never seen my check engine light on nor have I had any trouble with noise be it from the wind or engine.

Great car reliable... Not the coolest car to drive, but it serves it's purpose with me.

Oh... trunk and passenger seating is very spacious!
