2005 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ-Rally review from North America
"Excellent purchase, practical and reliable, yet cute and sporty"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
So far, nothing has gone wrong with the car, and I really don't drive like a grandmother.
General comments?
Pretty good acceleration, considering it's only 120HP, but it's definitely struggling if I've got 4 other people in the car and I'm going up an incline.
It is a bit light, maybe this is why it's so zippy, but it does make it a little tedious if you're driving on the highway on a windy day.
I also find it skids fairly easily in winter conditions, this might be due to its weight as I find it grips the road a bit easier if I keep a couple sandbags in the trunk during winter. Also, this model doesn't come with traction control or even anti-lock braking. Winter tires are definitely recommended.
Really good turning radius, a definite improvement on earlier models. Excellent handling overall actually, although it does tend to shimmy at speeds over 140km/hr.
