2004 Holden Utility VZ S review from Australia and New Zealand
"Looked the part, but lacked the zing factor"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing really - Just routine services - 3,000km, and 15,000 km.
General comments?
Holden had a beautiful selection of colours. I chose the blue colour, which really suited the vehicle. It certainly looked the part and drove reasonably well. The Alloytec V6 Motor, which in terms of smoothness was an improvement on the previous Ecotec in the VY model, is still harsh compared to the Ford Falcon Barra 190 Straight 6 engine. I became cynical when Holden started rebadging Daewoo's, which in my opinion, cheapened the brand. I felt like I was just driving a rebadged Daewoo around, even though the VZ Holden Ute is not in fact a rebadged Daewoo.
