2003 BMW 5 Series 525i review from Hong Kong
"Luxuriously modest 5-er meets the practical upper-middle family's needs"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Changed expansion tank, hoses, and radiator at 38,000km.
CD changer's magazine got stuck once.
CD's sometimes not detected.
Side windows' friction with black rubber weather seal makes a lot of noise on uneven roads.
Occasionally, text display under odometer has a few pixels missing. (seldom)
General comments?
Very good handling.
Very good brakes.
Good noise insulation.
Seats are comfortable.
Prevents fatigue to driver and passengers on long hauls.
Basic entertainment sound system feels bland.
2.5 straight six engine sufficient for city and highway driving.
