1994 Oldsmobile Ciera review from North America
"Great reliable car that is cheap to maintain and will get you where you need to go"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Very little has gone wrong in the 3 years that I've had this car. When I bought it in 2005 there was nothing wrong with it. In 2006 I drove it 4,500 miles across the United States traveling not having to do one repair besides oil changes. Since then only minor problems, a spark plug blew up once, valve cover gasket leak, The most expensive repair was some transmission fluid seal breaking, total repair costs were $800. From 2005 to 2008 today I would say, including oil change and tune up costs I've put about $3,000 in to this car and it's worth it.
General comments?
The car accelerates rather slow even with the pedal to the floor, mainly because it's such a small engine in a full sized car.
The car is comfortable on the inside, plenty of room, I did 4,500 miles in about a week with relative comfort.
The MPG is very good on this car, I average about 31 miles per gallon mosly highway miles.
