1992 Isuzu Amigo Sport review from North America
"Good looking, capable 4wd"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
All this has happened in the first two weeks of purchase. This is called an Isuzu Amigo here in the United States.
The water pump is leaking from the weep holes, and the radiator cap was leaking.
Rough idle..
The starter solenoid is going out and is temperamental with a click, and then after several tries will start.
The O2 sensor light is on in the dash.
The down pipe from the header is broken and sounds like crap!
Everything else is tip top... so far and I'm not complaining considering the age of the car.
General comments?
The 2.6 gasoline engine is a bit weak for such a car of this size. But I have no trouble on the American Interstate traveling at 70mph.
I am having trouble finding aftermarket stuff like brush guards and roof racks.
I plan on re-badging it with Frontera badges. And restoring it completely!
