1993 Mitsubishi Colt GLXi review from UK and Ireland
"Quick, cheap, practical little beastie"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing really...
Electric windows are a bit on the crappy side, sometimes they need a little "wobble" to make them work.
And once it got some damp in the ignition. As I thought it was all electronic and far too complicated I took it to the Mitsubishi dealer who wiped it with a rag and charged me about a million quid. Leave the dealers well alone if you can.
General comments?
This car has good looks (mine has nice alloys) and has decent performance and sharp handling to match. Performance per pound it's a winner.
Watch out as although you can throw it into corners ludicrously fast, when it does let go... bye!
It's good on petrol (40 mpg) and cheap to insure.
On the down side, the typical nasty grey Japanese interior lets it down and the seats are not as supportive as they should be for such a quick little car.
