1974 Dodge Monaco review from North America
"An inexpensive reliable driver"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I bought it, the radiator was clogged up badly, a simple trip to the local junkyard solved it.
The Holley 2210 carburetor caused problems, popped the power valve, but again, I bought a Junkyard part, a Carter BBD, only problem with that is the float level was too high, but that's fixed.
The latest thing was the ignition switch. Junkyard again.
Also I've broken the drivers door handle, but that will be fixed.
General comments?
This car has the most room I've ever seen. It rides like a dream, never before have I had such a smooth ride.
This car has never let me down.
Surprisingly, it doesn't eat too much gas, probably due to the 2 barrel carburetor.
